Though you and I may not agree with the writers arguments leading up to the action in Iraq--to my surprise the USA Today, actually published an opinion that is dead on accurate... For sometime now many, including me, have been saying setting a 'timetable' for withdrawal is a bad idea--glad to see the USA Today maybe waking up to reality!
USATODAY.com - Setting deadline for troops' withdrawal will backfire U.S. troops should not stay in Iraq, as in Vietnam, purely for pride in a hopeless battle. They should remain, however, as long as there is a reasonable chance that they can bring some stability, reinforce the fledgling democratic government and prevent Iraq from becoming a haven for terrorists. Announcing a timetable for withdrawal, as Sen. John Kerry proposes (Kerry's resolution in the Senate was rejected 93-6 on Thursday), would just invite the insurgents to wait out the American presence.

This should be good news for all Americans, but somehow I expect someone somewhere to have a problem with it.

Destroy the data on your hard drives yourself--if you know me call me, but don't depend on someone else!
Best Buy in data recovery scandal BEST BUY, which promises to destroy hard-drives when punters trade them in, has been accused of selling them on, complete with personal data.
Henry and Roma Gerbus, who traded in their hard-drive at the Best Buy branch in Springfield Township, were told that the old hard drive would be destroyed.
Gerbus said that staff at the store said that the hard-drive would have holes drilled into it so that it became useless. However, a month ago, Gerbus got a call from a bloke in Chicago who said he had just bought a hard drive for $25 in a flea market.
The drive had the couple's personal information, including Social Security numbers, bank statements and investment records.

Harry Reid accepts tickets to boxing matches while pressing legislation to for the creation of a federal boxing commission. While he doesn't see see any harm, democratic blinders I suppose, he does admit "
I'm not 'goody-two-shoes".
Reid sat ringside in Vegas for freeSenate Minority Leader Harry Reid accepted free ringside tickets from the Nevada Athletic Commission to three professional boxing matches while that state agency was trying to influence him on federal regulation of boxing.
Mr. Reid, Nevada Democrat, took the free seats for Las Vegas fights from 2003 to 2005 as he was pressing legislation to increase government oversight of the sport, including the creation of a federal boxing commission that Nevada's agency feared might usurp its authority.
Mr. Reid, who has accused the Republicans of fostering a culture of corruption, defended the gifts, saying they would never influence his position on the bill and was simply trying to learn how his legislation might affect an important home-state industry.
