Could Air America be Gone?

It looks like the answer to that question is YES -- ah shucks!
AIR AMERICA TUNED OUT?
AIR America is close to losing its New York flagship station - knocking Al Franken and his liberal colleagues off the air on their second anniversary.
The network has a two-year lease with WLIB (AM 1190) that is reportedly set to expire April 1 - and at least one reliable report says it is 'extremely likely' the deal will not be renewed.

Way to Support the Military

We get more evidence of what democrats call supporting the military. General Peter Pace made the following comments Sunday.
WASHINGTON Mar 5, 2006 (AP)— The Pentagon's top general acknowledged Sunday that
'anything can happen' in Iraq, but he said things aren't as bad as some say. 'I wouldn't put a great big smiley face on it, but I would say they're going very, very well from everything you look at.'
Rep. John Murtha (D - PA) could not wait to show support by calling him a liar.
"Why would I believe him?"
But never fear we will tomorrow we will hear how Rep. Murtha loves and supports the military -- GIVE ME A BREAK!

Public Education

Check out what a teacher is teaching tenth graders.
..."I'm not saying Bush and Hitler are exactly the same, obviously they're not. OK? But there are some eerie similarities to the tones that they use,"
You can listen here -- one of his students tapped him. I guess it is OK as long as the teacher doesn't mention God.

I suspect we will be told that President Bush got the student to "spy" on the teacher!

Bogus Military Poll

There is a new poll attempting to prove Military members want rapid withdrawal -- now this would include the military that has members that have reenlisted to return. Don't believe it, well nether to do I...
Troop Poll Not the Bombshell of Media Spin NewsBusters.org
since the responses are consistent with the existing troop reduction plan, that the respondents were taking this plan into account when answering the question. Hardly the bombshell the Left wanted to portray.

Sure -- Things are Bad!

This story doesn't paint the gloomy picture many liberals with the assistance of the press wish us to believe... What do you think?
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraqi security forces announced on Monday the capture of a senior al-Qaida in Iraq figure, and the U.S. ambassador said the risk of civil war from last week's sectarian violence was over.

Whinny Press

The Whitehouse press corps is whining again about the way they are treated -- claiming they get no respect -- respect they believe they deserve. The reasons given fall at the feet of the American people, the President and Vice President, and the news stories themselves. I have another opinion -- the 'fault' rest soley on them, the reporters, with an assist from the fact that we (the American people) luckily need not depend soley on them for information.

Mr. McCurry saw the same dynamic.
'The public hates the people in that
room,' he said.
[...]
David Gregory, the NBC correspondent who has been among the most ardent questioners in the briefing room, apologized for yelling at Mr. McClellan over the Cheney incident but said the situation had become particularly frustrating.

"There is a desire by some, particularly on the right, to morph these situations into a different kind of debate — it's the vice president against an angry, left-wing, cynical, hate-filled press corps that wants to expose him as a liar," he said. "This is a false debate, stoked by a president and vice president who have made no bones about the fact that they don't have much respect for the press corps as an institution."
Oh "boo-hoo"!

Waiting on the Outrage

Just waiting on the outrage. I mean these police are acting on tips about a gang of thieves - much like the raid the US Military conducted last month on a dinner where Al Qaeda members were attending -- remember that outrage! I mean the more BMW owner was just an innocent bystander...
Britain, UK news from The Times and The Sunday Times - Times Online
ARMED police mounted a wave of raids across Kent over the weekend as detectives stepped up the hunt for the gang who stole £50 million from the Tonbridge cash depot.
[...]
Officers refused to comment on one incident at Tankerton, near Whitstable, yesterday during which the tyres of a BMW were shot out when the car refused to stop and two men were arrested.

Coverage vs. Coverage

Brent Bozell takes a interesting look at the coverage of Vice President Cheney's shooting incident by comparing the coverage of it to the coverage of Vince Foster's death.
If we learned anything in the Clinton years, it's that they are world-class stonewallers and the phrase "enormous penchant for secrecy," when applied to them, is an understatement. Don't expect the press to agree with this, however.
They spent eight years enabling their secrecy.

Another Expert from Hollywood - Gotcha!

We have another 'Hollywood political expert' speaking up -- guess Richard Dreyfuss is attempting to drum up publicity for his new movie Poseidon, now remember he played a marine biologist in Jaws and this means he is smarter then you and you actually care what he thinks -- or do you?
Impeaching Bush Is 'Cause Worth Fighting for,' Actor Says
Richard Dreyfuss, the actor who starred in movies ranging from 'Jaws' to 'Mr. Holland's Opus,' told an audience in Washington, D.C., on Thursday that 'there are causes worth fighting for,' and one of those is the impeachment of President George W. Bush.

'There are causes worth fighting for even if you know that you will lose,' Dreyfuss said during a speech at the National Press Club. 'Unless you are willing to accept torture as part of a normal American political lexicon, unless you are willing to accept that leaving the Geneva Convention is fine and dandy, if you accept the expansion of wiretapping as business as usual, the only way to express this now is to embrace the difficult and perhaps
embarrassing process of impeachment.'

Ricky and The Doobie

Who would have thought that Ricky Williams would once again forget the gift he has, his talent, and smoke it all away? Me for one!
Ricky faces 1-year suspension, report says - NFL - MSNBC.com
MIAMI - Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams apparently is in trouble with the NFL again.
The Miami Herald reported on its Web site Sunday night that Williams faces at least a one-year suspension from the NFL after testing positive for drug use a fourth time under the league’s substance abuse policy.
