COVID-19 Thoughts (4 Weeks Plus into "Sheltering In")
First, we have the continued changing (guessing) of how to deal with this (I believe the photo demonstrates that)!
Second, and still not confirmed (nor do I believe ever will be), who/what is essential persons/businesses? Who determines that? I think this falls under "fair" and "fair" is an unattainable goal as every person has a different version of fairness!
Then there is clickbait to instill fear of law enforcement to ensure you comply out of fear. Note the second line of the article, "Jeremial Lee is charged with weapon and drug possession ..."
The news report (WREG 3 Memphis)
Yes, the real reason the police arrested him or had any idea to talk with him is that he was at a party -- NOT, they were responding to "shots fired"!

Then there is the "real" enforcement as government officals flex their political power (unconstitunally). Assaulting our freedoms with an emphasis on Christian Churches Easter weekend, claiming they "care about you".
Every single right taken claiming to be protecting brings me closer to regretting I ever volunteered to protect those rights!
With freedom comes personal responsibility, and if we have failed to teach our younger adults and are not teaching our children that all is sadly lost!

As we move forward, my feelings earlier this week: Death is unfortunate; however, a part of life and staying healthy is part of one's responsibility, not a dictatorial government (an argument against socialized healthcare BTW).
I was concerned we are pushing to make "Hunger Games" or the "Divergent" books a reality. Mindless compliance out of fear is still only mindless - George Orwell might have only missed it by 36 years.

Today I see articles like this with comments like:
to include victims presumed to have perished from the disease but never tested.
Is this a case of “the ends justify the means.”
A friend reminded me of what Germans were told as laws were enforced while Adolph was caring for the country … Es ist fur lhre Sicherheit = It is for your safety.
Can someone please share when in history instilling fear in the population, and their unquestioning compliance has ever equaled a good thing. When has history looked back at such an event and said: “they did a great job” — I will wait. It might be a long wait because if it ever happened, there would be no need to drum up fear. After all, history would tell us it was a good thing for the next time around.
One other question, please share when at best guessing and estimating and at worst lying lead to anything good?

The above information does beg the question, who else is lying?
If the answer to that question is we don't know, or probably others, then is data we are making our decisions on (or being scared of) useful? Then I have to ask who faked the number(s), or chose to falsify them? Was it medical professionals, medical administrators, politicians, or all -- That answer SHOULD determine how and whom we trust when it comes to believing "Es ist fur lhre Sicherheit = It is for your safety."!
I believe I have made my stance clear, with all caution and concern I can muster I am for getting on with living and not keen on waiting on dying. If others deem this view selfish, so be it, I bodily go where more exceptional people than I went before in the name of freedom.
I know from my youth within the military to may progression to senior adulthood (though not all the way there yet), I have never known the paradigm of "ends justifying the means" being a sound strategy. I cannot remember anyone except the executor of such a policy looking back on it as the right decision or course of action.
